In this post, I’m going to share with youthe steps you need to follow to change or disable notification sounds in Windows 10.
There are many types of sounds you can change, including asterisk, reminder, alarm, device connect & disconnect, pop-up and much more.
How To Disable Annoying Notification Sounds In Windows 10
To get started, look at the right bottom of your Windows screen, in the taskbar. Then locate the speaker icon and right-click on it.
Select “Sounds” from the list of options.
In the Sounds tab, choose the event you want to disable and then click on the “Test” button to listen the sound again to make sure that’s the one you want to turn off.
From the list of sounds, you can choose another sound to replace the current one or select “(None)” to disable the sound.
There are a lot of sounds you can choose from, as well as many events that you can easily control the sound of.
You can also use an external file as a notification sound. However, the file must be a .wav audio file.
After disabling the sound, the next time you want to enable it, just access it here and enable it!
